1. New Year’s here by JZ 1/1/25

How exciting, you start to feel alive,

When thinking about 2025.

What new paths will you now set?

A big goal? Or is smaller goal a safer bet?

A new year, provides new possibilities,

What you do, is what people will see.

Be an example in which people will love,

Something that you can be proud of.

Lose weight? Find love? Or go to a job fair?

Or maybe if you dare,

Grab some trunks, have a towel near,

Take a new year’s plunge, “Polar Bear”.

Don’t focus on your past, make sure to see,

The world is filled with opportunities.

Focus on your blessings, your home, your life,

Focus on your family, your kids, husband, wife.

Life doesn’t always go as planned,

Some times you crash like the waves on the sand.

Live each day, and never fear,

And enjoy, for a New Year Is Here.

2. Skiing Fun by JZ 1/4//25

I drive by a ski resort constantly,

At night,

Their lights,

Create a sense of tranquility.

How smooth and fast the ski’s will go,

While cutting through the icy snow.

There was a time, when that was me,

Full of curiosity.

Which trail would it be today,

I’d soar like an eagle, along the pathway,

The view, would take my breath away

Yet, just as fast as when I started

I would feel broken hearted,

That trail had ended, my journey done

Until I picked another one

And enjoy the Skiing fun.
